Burridge Mentor Workshop
In this week's BobBlast, we thought we would do something a little different - I have opened the door to my studio during a Mentor Workshop!
For this workshop we had eight painters - coming from Australia, Canada, Key West Florida, and California to paint for three and a half days in my studio. I act as a mentor, rather than a "workshop instructor." In the video, you will see various themes and well-thought-out series of paintings.
The Mentor Workshops are fun and highly productive - lots of painting,
good networking and camaraderie. At the end of the video, wait for the credits and then Google the artists!
In prepping for attending a workshop like my Studio Mentor Workshop,
it will help if you do the following:
- Have a plan. Decide what you are going to paint. Have a a goal.
- Bring the materials you are planning to work with.
- Clear your calendar so you will not have distractions that will keep you from doing your work.
