Extremely limited inventory has characterized the
East Bay market all summer, with the MSI holding steady at 0.8 from June through August. Homes sold for 113.1 percent of original price, down from the past few months but the largest premiums recorded in any of Pacific Union's regions.
After five months above the $900,000 mark, the median sales price eased to $853,500. Homes sold in an average of 22 days, five days faster than earlier in the summer.
