The U.S. Dept. of Justice awarded a BJA FY 2013 Second Chance Act Adult Mentoring and Transitional Services for Successful Reentry Program to Veterans on the Rise of Washington, D.C. in the amount of $300,000 for its' Welcome Back Incarcerated Veterans Mentoring Program. 

The program funding was one of 14 awards made nationally from a pool of $4,198,986 and was the only award made to an agency in the District of Columbia.
