Welcome to the January 2014 Rocky Mountain BEST Volunteer Newsletter.

We are excited about our fifth year working with area students in the annual BEST robotics competition. This year's game, BLADERUNNER 2014, was created by the West Texas BEST Hub in Lubbock, Texas.

To provide the material for the BLADERUNNER 2014 game at no cost to area schools, we are holding the Boosting BEST Fundraising Event on Thursday evening, 27 February 2014. More information on the event and needed donations and volunteers is in this newsletter.

Please forward this newsletter to others who might be interested in Rocky Mountain (RM) BEST.

Colorado Gives Day Success!
Generous December Donations via ColoradoGives.org

Thanks to almost 50 generous ColoradoGives donors, we were able to raise $6,701 in December. This amount includes our allocation of the First Bank Incentive Fund for the donations on Colorado Gives Day on 10 December.

If you missed the opportunity to donate in December with the special incentives for Colorado Gives Day, the Colorado Gives website may be used year round to donate to Rocky Mountain BEST.  The donate button on the Rocky Mountain BEST website links to our ColoradoGives page.

You can watch a video to learn how to make a one-time donation on ColoradoGives.org. From any page on the site you can search for charities by name, keyword, cause, city or zip code. You can further filter your search results by status (how recently they joined) or alphabetical listing.

After selecting a charity, select "Donate Now" from their profile. Although ColoradoGives.org features Colorado nonprofits, residents from any location who have Internet access can donate online.

We would not be successful without you!  We are looking forward to working with you in 2014.

Sincerely,

Linda King
