Welcome to the February 2014 Rocky Mountain BEST Volunteer Newsletter.
Big News! Listed on the left are this year's event dates.
Please Mark Your Calendars!
We are excited about our fifth year working with area students in the annual BEST robotics competition. This year's game, BLADERUNNER 2014, was created by the West Texas BEST Hub in Lubbock, Texas.
As a reminder, we are holding the Boosting BEST Fundraising Event on Thursday evening, 27 February, to help us build the game field, run the events, and provide robotics materials at no cost to the 2014 school teams. More information on the event and needed donations and volunteers is in this newsletter. Please forward this newsletter to others who might be interested in Rocky Mountain (RM) BEST. |

A Fun Evening on Thursday, 27 February from 6 PM - 8:30 PM
There is still time to register! Please consider inviting family and friends to join in the fun. The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction with lots of bargains (6-7:15 PM), wine tasting, students and their robots, and a light dinner with cooking demo by Chef Greg Boynton.
For more information, map, and to register for the Event, please use this link:
2014 Boosting BEST Annual Fundraising Event. Last day to register is Sunday 23 February. The $30 event fee ($15 tax deductible) may be paid as part of registration or you can pay the fee at the door.
The venue is Builder's Appliance Center (BAC) Showroom at 1880 West Oxford Avenue, Suite #A (Behind Red & Jerry's southwest of Santa Fe and Oxford Avenue, Englewood, CO.)
If you are a small business owner or entrepreneur, we are looking for sponsors for this primary fundraiser of the year. The goal is four $500 donors to underwrite the costs of the event. You and your business will be recognized at the event and throughout the 2014 season! Contact Sabina Kilpatrick for more information at 303.919.3303 / [email protected].
Also, we are always looking for silent auction items for Boosting BEST. If you have a product or service you would like to donate, or are willing to get a gift card donated from a restaurant or store, please email Sabina Kilpatrick at [email protected]. |
