Mark your calendars for November 7 - 9th as the Albrecht-Kemper invites you to kick off your holiday season as local and regional vendors transform the museum into a "Holiday Gift Gallery". The Sugarplum Festival is an annual event that kicks off the holiday season for residents of St. Joseph and the surrounding areas. This fundraiser for the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art features a special Preview Night, an exciting gift gallery, a holiday lunch caf�, and wine tasting, and so much more. The festivities start Thursday evening with the Preview Party and continue through Saturday.

816-271-5500 The largest annual holiday lights display in Northwest Missouri will once again take place at Krug Park at the northern end of St. Joseph's famed Parkway. The park will become "Holiday Park," 6-10 pm from Friday, November 29 through Sunday, January 1, 2013 (including Christmas night). Started in 1981, today more than 100,000 visitors drive through each year to see the lavish display of lighted arches and trees, winter scenes and the park's lovely Italianate buildings breathtakingly outlined in lights. At the southern end of the Parkway, Hyde Park also will be dazzlingly lit for the holiday season. Admission will be free to both parks, though donations are accepted. 816-271-5500.

Join us at the Albrecht-Kemper on December 1st as Santa's pancakes are served hot off the griddle with sausages, juice, coffee, and a special treat for the kids! Two seatings available at both 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Stay and help out Santa's elves at Santa's Workshop and create a special holiday project to take home for the holidays. (2 workshops available 10:00 am and 11:30 am) Seating is limited and Reservations are required for both breakfast and the workshop.
