4 Day Summer Road Tech Guitar Seminar

Instructor: Kyle Roggendorf, Owner and Partner Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair, Raritan Bay Guitar Repair. Freelance road tech.

This is a new offering here at the Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair. Over a 4 day period Kyle will explain and demonstrate the skill sets and base of knowledge needed to succeed in the professional world of modern full time guitar road techs . Attendees will review basic guitar set up skill sets. They will be taught several tricks of the trade and skill sets that allow you to effect emergency repairs for players when on the road and away from your bench. 

Attendees will be shown the PROPER way to prepare for and stock up for hitting the road as a full time tech. You will learn how to prep and set up your repair station. What to bring and what not to bring. How to be efficient when effecting repairs under real time, real world pressure. Kyle will also discuss in depth business realities of being on the road. How to set yourself up as a business. How to bill out. How to get started in this wonderful livelihood.

(One Week Summer Guitar Evaluation and Setup Seminar) 

Cost $600.00 all inclusive.

Instructor: Joseph M. Civitano owner Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair Owner and Senior Partner Raritan Bay Guitar Repair.

This new offering by the eastern school of fretted instrument repair allows those guitar and bass players who have always wanted to better understand and service their own instruments the basic knowledge and skill sets that will allow them to do so.
Over 5 days you will learn how to evaluate both acoustic and electric guitars and basses. You will learn to recognize common issues affecting these instruments and simple but effective fix's that will make your guitar/bass play that much better. Attendees will learn how to measure relief and string height and will learn how to work to spec as part of the set up process. 

Attendees will also learn some simple tricks to enhance the playability of their instruments. Attendees will receive as part of their tuition a series of handouts, a set of feeler gauges and a 6 inch ruler and work apron that will be theirs to keep. 

CJ as Joe is known has been in music his entire life. Starting with grammar school straight through a tour with the N.O.R.A.D. Command Band in the mid 70's C.J. have been playing music. He has attended two different repair schools for a total of 3 1/2 years of formal instruction and spent one great summer interning with Mr Paul Unkert, the guitar guy in Toms River NJ. C.J. takes great pride in all of his work but excels at re-fretting and correcting flawed and warped necks that other techs say cannot be saved. As the senior partner at
the shop, CJ working together with Kyle try their hardest to make every piece that walks in the door the very best it can be, whether it's a 100 or 5000 dollar axe. We take our time with each one. Listening to you the player to ensure you have the very best experience with your axe when we are done.

This years seminar will be held August 10th through the 14th.
