NNCG's mission is to increase the quality, effectiveness and capacity of grantmakers by mobilizing and strengthening the work of knowledgeable, ethical and experienced consultants. As a mission-driven organization, NNCG champions quality in the field of philanthropy consulting by providing:
- A forum for consultants dedicated to philanthropic effectiveness;

- A national platform for consultants to engage with grantmakers and other strategic partners on philanthropy's principal issues, challenges and opportunities.

NNCG Annual Convening
Our Annual Convening will take place on Sunday, April 10th from 4-6p at the
Washington Hilton in the Holmead Room on the Lobby Level. This is in conjunction with the 2016 Council on Foundations Annual Conference. Attendance at the COF Conference is not required to attend our Annual Meeting.
We'll take a look at trends in philanthropy and the the important and evolving role of funder networks with
David Biemesderfer, newly appointed President and CEO of the Forum of Association of Regional Grantmakers. We'll also hear from
Cole Wilbur, Past President and Trustee of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and NNCG Steering Committee Member, who will share his perspectives on philanthropy as a context for NNCG's work. And we'll learn about NNCG's emerging strategic plan with
Stephanie Clohesy, NNCG member and CEO of Clohesy Consulting.

NNCG Webinar Series Resumes
The 2016 Webinar schedule is starting to take shape, and we will kick off on April 19th at 2p Eastern with "Corporate Philanthropy: Moving from "That Nice Thing we Do" to a Business Imperative" led by NNCG Member Jeff Hoffman.

NNCG to Implement New Membership Management Software
We are excited to announce that we will be implementing new membership management software over the next several weeks. This will better allow us to track all membership data, and will give our members more control over their profiles. We will also be able to create a social community, allowing our members to make connections with one another, create and join circles, and share their status and activity stream through a members-only list serve, as well as forums and discussion boards for posting topics and responses. How do we decide? Decision-Making Trends for Philanthropic Organizations
is the subject of discussion for Amy Segal Shorey, Senior Consultant at GMA Foundations, and Marjorie Ringrose, Executive Director of Social Venture Partners Boston, at an education event for Womenade Boston on April 11. Marjorie and Amy will share thoughts on the grant decision-making process, and important pre-grant due diligence and post grant reflection.
Informing Change recently partnered with Beth Cousens to document the Jewish Resource Specialist (JRS) Initiative, a project that endeavors to build the field of Jewish early childhood education through JRS educators. Already part of their preschools' communities, JRS educators receive coaching and professional development, which they use, in turn, to serve as mentors to their fellow co-teachers.
