John Hardiman named to Crossroads of the American Revolution Association board

Trenton, NJ - Crossroads of the American Revolution Association has announced the election of John Hardiman of Hamilton to its board of trustees as part of a slate elected March 11. Crossroads is the non-profit organization responsible for the management of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area, which connects the people and places of New Jersey's rich Revolutionary heritage to inspire community pride, stewardship and civic engagement.

"We're tremendously fortunate to have attracted several dynamic business and community leaders to the Crossroads board, each bringing a unique blend of passion, energy and expertise," said Patrick Murray, president of the Crossroads board of trustees. "Through his strong ties in the Trenton community, John Hardiman understands the potential that can be realized when people take pride in the places where they live and work."

Hardiman is public affairs director at NJM Insurance Group, where he oversees corporate communications, consumer safety and sales efforts, and serves on the company's corporate giving committee. A member of the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce board of directors, he has also served on the Hamilton Township School Board and volunteered with nonprofits including Ryan's Quest, Camp Fire USA, and Nottingham Little League.

"New Jersey's Revolutionary War heritage presents an amazing opportunity to market the Garden State as a place to come and visit and engage our neighbors in revitalizing our communities, including downtown Trenton, and boosting local economies. By telling the stories of the people who lived in our neighborhoods in the 18th century, Crossroads transforms history into a heritage we can relate to on a personal level," said Hardiman. "I'm proud to lend my support as Crossroads continues its work to build pride of place with state residents."

Hardiman is one of four new trustees elected to the Crossroads board. The others include Kathleen Ellis, executive vice president and chief operating officer of New Jersey Natural Gas; John S. O'Donnell, vice president at Wells Fargo Advisors; and Christopher Paladino, president of New Brunswick Development Corporation.
