Greetings from Director Tom Hui

As we have started our journey into 2016, it's always good to reflect on what we're thankful for as well as to lay out fresh new goals for the year. With that being said, I am extremely thankful for my diligent staff who come in every day to make San Francisco a safe, world-class city to live, work, and visit. We have been hard at work, carrying out our important role of facilitating timely construction and protecting building safety during this remarkable building boom our City continues to experience. As San Francisco continues to grow, we are also working to preserve the existing housing stock and keeping the public prepared by ensuring the seismic safety of our buildings and communities. We continue to implement City-wide earthquake policies such as the soft story retrofits of older, wood-framed multi-family buildings.
As for this New Year, my goals are to move forward with technology improvements to streamline our processes and make them more efficient and accessible to the public. We are also in the process of developing a Strategic Plan, which will be our road map for the next five years. One of the goals of that plan will be to improve our services by continuing cross-training for our staff members to ensure the highest levels of customer service.
Sincerely,

DBI's Customer Satisfaction Survey
DBI's vision for the New Year is to move forward in continuing to improve customer satisfaction.
Last year we undertook a comprehensive study of our customers
to gain a better understanding of customer perception and satisfaction of our services. We are proud to say that these results show over a 65% satisfaction rate of DBI's professional services. However, even with these results we are already strategizing ways to continue improving our services.

the EBB program. Are you not eligible for the program? You can still take action and learn more about
