71st Powell River Festival of Performing Arts 2015
FEBRUARY 21 - MARCH 7
The 2015 Festival of the Performing Arts in Powell River will be held from February 21 to March 7. New to this year, the festival will include master classes in all disciplines. See a full schedule and program by checking out their website.
It gets more exciting, too -- this year's provincials will be held in our very own Powell River! The Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival will be held here from May 26 to 30.

Last month, we asked you what you wanted to hear at this year's Celebration of the Senses event. Here were some of the suggestions:

Jean Sibelius - Finlandia, Peer Gynt Suite, 1812 Overture with canon
Rimsky Korsakov - Scheherezade
Bedřich Smetana - Ma Vlast
Schubert or Boccherini - selections
Richard Strauss - Don Quixote; Thus Sprach Zarathustra
