Kathleen Ellis named to Crossroads of the American Revolution Association board
Trenton, NJ - Crossroads of the American Revolution Association has announced the election of Kathleen Ellis of Belmar to its board of trustees as part of a slate elected March 11. Crossroads is the non-profit organization responsible for the management of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area, which connects the people and places of New Jersey's rich Revolutionary heritage to inspire community pride, stewardship and civic engagement.

"We're tremendously fortunate to have attracted several dynamic business and community leaders in New Jersey who bring passion, energy and expertise to the Crossroads board," said Patrick Murray, president of the Crossroads board of trustees. "Kathy Ellis has shown a strong commitment to helping communities reach their potential, and we're looking forward to her contributions as we build local ties across the state."

Ellis is executive vice president and chief operating officer of New Jersey Natural Gas. Previously the communications director for Governor James McGreevey, she also serves on the boards of Meridian Hospitals Corporation, 180 Turning Lives Around, New Jersey Future, PAM's List - New Jersey and Interfaith Neighbors, Inc. in Asbury Park.

"New Jersey's Revolutionary War heritage is a source of pride for all of the state's residents, whether their roots trace back to Colonial times or they're recent arrivals to the United States," said Ellis. "Crossroads' work to connect New Jerseyans to our shared past has great potential to draw us together as a community, and I'm proud to lend my support."

Ellis is one of four new trustees elected to the Crossroads board. The others include John Hardiman, public affairs director at NJM Insurance; John S. O'Donnell, vice president at Wells Fargo Advisors; and Christopher Paladino, president of New Brunswick Development Corporation.
