Sojourner House Unveils New Website!
We are proud to announce our newly redesigned website:
Please visit the new site for updates on events, stories of our residents' recovery, volunteer opportunities and other news.
The update would not have been possible without the diligent work of the Shift Collaborative team, who generously donated their time and talents to redesign the site.  Special thanks to Sarah Mayer , Sojourner House Board President and Shift Collaborative Partner, for her tireless efforts and endless support.

Thank You
Sojourner House extends a heartfelt thank-you for the outpouring of support bestowed on our families over the holiday season.  From an alternative Christmas shopping mall at Southminster Presbyterian Church, to a funky twist on the Secret Santa tradition organized by the office of University Advancement at Chatham, the community embraced our mothers and children, enhancing for many families their first Christmas free of the demons of addiction.

One such event that warmed the residents' hearts was a party arranged by the Young Lawyers Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association.  Katy McKee, a Staff Attorney at Neighborhood Legal Services Association, said "The Children's Holiday Party is the highlight of the year for the ACBA Young Lawyers Division Public Service Committee.  Being able to bring a Christmas party to the kids in your program, complete with Santa and gifts, and watching the kids' excitement when Santa comes in is such a pleasure - thank you for allowing us to be a part of your families' holiday season."
Other contributors included Shadyside Presbyterian Church, who provided slippers, pajamas, and gift cards to mothers in the program.  The congregation also connected Sojourner House with a special opportunity to meet a Pittsburgh icon, Mr. McFeely.  Shadyside Presbyterian congregant and Sojourner House Board Member Eileen Flaherty noted, "I'm so happy that one of the deacons from Shadyside Presbyterian Church was able to 'connect the dots' from the Mr. Rogers Sweater Drive, organized by the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, to the mothers and children at Sojourner House."
Thank you to the countless church and civic groups, corporations, and individuals who opened their hearts during this season of giving.  Families will look back on this special time as the first of many happy holidays made possible by your support of Sojourner House.  We can't thank you enough!
