Green is a color!
In the midst of a summer day, one might not notice the color green. Instead we look for color from an array of blooms throughout the garden, in our landscape or along the road-side. But in winter, GREEN is a wonderful color that breaks up the overwhelming white and grey tones that seem to surround our everyday lives. It gives us hope for spring!

Karen Campney (KC), Nursery Manager at Countryside appreciates her Norway Spruce most in the winter months. 'We enjoy seeing green in winter and can greater appreciate the arching structure of this beautiful specimen when we are not distracted by our spring and summer blooming flowers. A few of our biggest selling shrubs are boxwood and yews. People enjoy seeing the contrasting green hues against the stark white snow of winter . In spring and summer, green lends itself to balance all the other wonderful colors we see. Green  reminds us of life, growth, renewal and nature. We anticipate more colorful seasons coming! From a psychological perspective, green balances the heart and the emotions, creates equilibrium between the head and the heart. How are you feeling now?

Try hanging a bundle of eucalyptus in your shower to start the day off on the right foot or to end the day in a relaxing manner. The heat and steam help to activate the herb's essential oils which can ease congestion, relieve stress, and bring you mental clarity.
Tie the bundle with natural garden twine (sold here in the Garden Center) on the shower head, away from the spray of the water. Natural garden twine works best as it is more resistant to water than cotton string. Enjoy the therapeutic scent for a few weeks as you take a hot shower!

Get this variety of spiral eucalyptus and many others in the Flower Shop at $3.99 per bundle!
