WI CCC Plan Priority Webinar on Priority 4 "Increase HPV Vaccine Completion"

| Farm to Hospital Community of Practice Now Accepting Participants |
Are you interested in serving local fruits & vegetables in your hospital or maybe increasing what you currently serve? Join the WI Healthy Hospitals
Farm to Hospital Community of Practice! The
Farm to Hospital Community of Practice will bring together hospitals from around the state to learn and share about Farm to Hospital strategies, including procuring local fruits & vegetables, starting your own garden, and hosting a local CSA. The Community of Practice will offer 2 in person meetings, shared learning experiences and exchanges, and technical assistance. For more information,

| WI HPV Vaccine Summits - Registration Now Open |
The Wisconsin HPV Vaccine Summits aim to improve HPV immunization rates throughout the
state
by
providing updates, discussion opportunities and best practices. Two HPV Vaccine Summits will be held:
- May 11, 2016 in Wausau
- May 12, 2016 in Milwaukee
These free conferences are offered to vaccine advocates from organizations engaged in activities to improve health of adolescents and prevent cancer. Representatives from all organizations and providers who can implement HPV immunization program improvements and promote timely HPV immunizations are encouraged to attend.
These free conferences are sponsored by the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrices (WIAAP), Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WI DHS) Immunization Program, Scenic Rivers Area Health Education Center (SR AHEC) and the Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (WI CCC Program).

Survivorship Forum Save the Date - June 8, 2016 in Eau Claire, WI

The Wisconsin Survivorship Forum, "Life in Balance," will be held on June 8, 2016 in Eau Claire, WI.
The
Survivorship Forum will feature Keynote Speaker Scott Burton, a stand-up comedian, world-class juggler, author and cancer survivor. Sessions will explore the following topics:
- Mindfulness
- Sexual Health
- Cancer and Employment
- Caring for the Caregiver
- Cancer and Finances

| Coalitions in Action: WI Breast Cancer Task Force |
 The Wisconsin Breast Cancer Task Force (WBCTF) has received a "Coalitions in Action" grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure national headquarters. The WI
Comprehensive Cancer Control Program partnered with the Komen Southeast Wisconsin affiliate to apply and was one of only six coalitions around the country to receive funding. The two-year grant will allow the WBCTF to develop projects to improve breast cancer screening rates in Wisconsin using information gathered in the Komen Southeast WI community profile.
Breast cancer screening guidelines have recently been updated by groups including the US Preventive Services Task Force and the American Cancer Society that present differing ages and frequencies for screening. The WBCTF does not endorse a specific recommendation but plans to address ongoing confusion and encourage women to discuss their individual risk and screening options with their provider. Grant activities will include pilot testing the
WBCTF breast cancer screening conversation tool and activities that focus on consistent messaging, promotion of resources and health literacy. To learn more or get involved with the

| WI Partnership Program: Applicants Sought for Community Awards |
The Wisconsin Partnership Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking applicants for its two major community award programs. The WI Comprehensive Cancer Control Program encourages partners and WI Cancer Council members to apply for a cancer related project using the
WI Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan 2015-2020 as a framework.
Community Impact Grants provide up to $1 million over five-years to support large-scale, evidence-based, community-academic partnerships aimed at achieving sustainable policy, systems and/or environmental changes that will improve health, health equity and well-being in Wisconsin.

Community Opportunity Grants provide up to $50,000 in support for up to two years to implement and evaluate strategies identified in community health improvement plans and needs assessments. The grants are designed to enhance collaboration among public health departments, nonprofit organizations, hospitals, clinics, health care systems, schools, businesses and government leaders on community-identified health priorities.
