REMINDER:
Public Open House to be held TOMORROW, Tuesday, June 9, to discuss improvement plans for SR 32, between Eastgate Blvd. and Olive Branch-Stonelick Rd.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will host a public open house on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at the Union Township Civic Center, to discuss updated improvement plans for SR 32, between Eastgate Boulevard and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road.

A preferred alternative was selected for this project following a public comment period last summer and is undergoing further detailed design. The purpose of the Open House is to update the public on the project's development and give you an opportunity to provide input.

Project area maps and information will be on display, and members of the project team will be available to explain the improvements being planned, answer any questions you might have and listen to your comments. There will not be a formal presentation - you can attend any time during the 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm time frame that is convenient for you.

Improvements to this section of SR 32, between Eastgate Boulevard and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road, are core components of the Eastern Corridor Program, which will improve connectivity, access and safety, and support economic development opportunities between downtown Cincinnati and Clermont County. More information about the Eastern Corridor Program can be found at EasternCorridor.org.

Project Background
In November 2004, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) published Access Ohio 2004-2030, Statewide Transportation Plan. In 2006, ODOT completed the Eastern Corridor Study, in cooperation with Clermont County, Hamilton County, and the City of Cincinnati. The Eastern Corridor Study was a comprehensive look at the transportation needs between Cincinnati and western Clermont County. As part of a multi-modal transportation strategy, this study included a recommendation to consolidate and manage access points to establish SR 32 as a limited access arterial roadway between Eastgate Boulevard and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road, with planned local road improvements implemented separately in support of this improvement.

Goals
The improvements being planned will work in conjunction with the construction now underway at SR 32 interchanges with I-275 and Eastgate Boulevard and other related projects to better support increasing traffic levels in the area; reduce congestion and traffic delays; improve access to and from local roadways, businesses, shopping and residential areas; and to improve overall travel safety for motorists.

Public Input
This is an opportunity to provide input on the preferred alternative. Written comments may be submitted at the meeting, as well as emailed, faxed, or mailed to the study team. Additionally you may leave your comments on ODOT's website: http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D08/Pages/PublicInvolvementMeetingSchedule.aspx
