Ingham Impact Podcasts

Intermediate School Districts are relatively unknown to those who do not use our services. We are creating podcasts to illustrate the work of our district as an educational tool to those who wonder what an ISD is and how we support local districts and families in our service areas.  The first podcast is linked here and a new podcast will be released on the second Thursday of each month through the remainder of the 2015-16 school year. You can also find a link to our podcasts on our website.
US Department of Education Highlights
Ingham ISD Service Area Work

The local districts in the Ingham ISD service are have been working together since 2008-09 using data to inform instructional practices that have an impact on student achievement. The US Department of Education has interviewed some of our districts and shared our story nationally. This short article is a brief overview of our collective work. If you want data....we have it and we are happy to share!
STEAM Geekend Camp a Success

The feedback from 250 middle schoolers and their parents has been amazing. They were so geeked to attend the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) camps on Ingham ISD's campus in Mason. Students explored underwater robotics, aviation aerodynamics, artistic photography, and snap circuits. They became cyber agents, cracked the DNA code and flew drones. This camp was made possible though the Michigan STEM partnership grant. Another camp is planned for April 23. Visit our website for more information.

Talent Development - Capital Area Career Center Open House and Showcase

Talent Development starts well before a student reaches college. Our youngest students talk about becoming a police officer, fire fighter, teacher and more. Students formally begin planning for their college and career journey in 7th or 8th grade. We invite our community members to the Career Center to experience first-hand how we are helping students prepare for college and careers.
Open House:   December 9, 2015, 4:30-7:30 pm
Showcase:      May 11, 2016, 4:00-8:00 pm
