The CityLight/Catalyst Prayer Breakfast has served as a networ
king platform for Pastors, Corporate, Community and Government leaders to create a vision for our community. CityLight Prayer Groups seek to transform local communities by partnering with Churches and other organization to provide hope with our words and help with our hands.
One of the motivating factors for his involvement with the homeless is waste that occurs when people’s God given potential is not being reached due to their addictive lifestyles. He is convinced that reaching out to meet people’s felt needs, such as providing them with a bed and a meal, is merely the starting point for addressing their deepest spiritual need. Then real and lasting change, life transformation, can begn to take place. Such change is a life-long process and does not happen quickly. Our focus at the Oliver Gospel Mission is one of crock potting rather than one of microwaving people.
Wayne is the founder of Reality Ministries LLC, which includes the publication of nine devotional guides and a book on leadership, which is close to publishing. Wayne has completed two successful years of Leadership Legacy, a year-long biblically-based program focused on developing the next generation of leaders. Wayne has written a monthly article on leadership for Business Trends, a Columbia based magazine and additional articles for other publications. Previously he worked on staff with the Navigators for seven years.
