From Where I Sit
Hi! Karen Salas here...From my seat, at my desk and in the Body, I have the rare privilege of seeing you lovely people live your lives with HIM. I am in awe of you!     This month I invite you to welcome  Mariah Shope to our newsletter cover...      

 
 Hey! my name is Mariah, I'm the daughter of the Creator of the universe, lover of dance, and seeker of adventures. I currently go to school and manage the office for  The Yodsukars, (fun fact, my very favorite Katrina Kirtz set me up with these amazing photoGs a few years back). I love photographing people in love, and traveling the world. I'm a momma to my two cats, and Taco Tuesday makes me the happiest girl on the planet.
I am also apart of the jr. high Fearless staff, so I basically get to hang out with the coolest jr. highers on the planet every week. I'm also a part of the college group (name TBA) here at Los Altos, which is super-duper rad. I really didn't know the true Jesus until about three years ago, when he invaded my heart and opened my eyes (another story, for another time). (;

Jesus perfectly put me together with the love of travel and with the most dominant love language of acts of service. Travel + acts of service = mission work. After my first mission trip to Mexico 2 years ago... read more here...
Japanese Gospel Choir
 
We had our 2015 fall Gospel Choir Concert on October 24th. We had a wonderful time of praising our God, fellowship with the choir members, friends and supporters. And 3 people were saved from the choir this year so far! God is so good!!

Thanksgiving Communion

The whole family is invited for a time of
communion, celebration & thanksgiving. This gathering will replace our morning Sunday school & church service & will include breakfast, foot washing, & the bread and cup.
 
 
Childcare provided for nursery through 5th grade.
 
 
If you are interested in learning more about our communion traditions at Los
Altos Grace Brethren, Mike Jentes will be leading a lesson/discussion on this topic during the Basic Beliefs class Sunday, November 22 at 9:00AM in the Loft.
