Here are a few highlights from the ongoing work at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
CVB Nominated for California Tourism Marketing Award

The Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau has made the final list of nominees for the Best P.R. Campaign (less than $20k) for California tourism marketing.

The final list of nominees for the Best P. R. Campaign (less than $20k) includes the San Diego Tourism Authority, Visit Oceanside, Visit Oakland, Black Ink P.R., and the Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The CVB was nominated for the "50 Awesome Things to Do in Santa Clara" campaign which included a blog, media release, local television coverage, and video highlighting the "50 Awesome Things to Do". The winner will be announced on February 23, 2016 at Visit California's 2016 Poppy Awards & Industry Recognition Gala.
WrestleMania Generates $139 Million for Santa Clara/San Jose region

CVB and Convention Center staff, including Annette Manhart, Cary Keesecker, Lisa Moreno, and David Andre, served on WrestleMania 31's Local Organizing Committee (LOC) this past year. 

WWE is reporting that WrestleMania 31 at Levi's Stadium generated $139 million for the Santa Clara/San Jose region.

CVB Destination Video Sees 37% Increase in Views

"The Game" destination video produced by the Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and XPlorIt saw the number of people viewing it up 37% for the fiscal year 1st quarter. The video started the quarter with 650 views and ended it with 1,034+ views.

Into the 2nd quarter, the video has already reached 1,800+ views. The video touts Santa Clara as the host city for Super Bowl 50 and showcases the city's hospitality assets.
