SHARING THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

  THE DOOR

Jesus said, "I am the door. By me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 10:9, KJV

My daughter wanted to invite her new friend over for a visit to our home. After learning about the background of my daughter's friend,  my immediate reaction was to keep the doors of our home closed to this person.

Because of how people choose to live, many are hesitant about who they allow to enter through the doors of their homes. But no matter how closed the doors of our homes are to others because of their lifestyles,  there is a door that is always open for anyone to enter - the door of salvation. According to the word of God,  if anyone enters through this door made available through Jesus Christ, they will be saved, and cleansed from their sins.

Isn't it good to know there is a door you can enter through, no matter what you've done? So dust off your past, and come on in.

Sharing the word,

Jeaninne

Prayer: Father, thank you for the door you've provided for anyone to enter through - your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
