James Madison University’s College of Integrated Science and Engineering, Education and Outreach, and The Center for STEM Education and Outreach, are pleased to bring you the Second Annual K-12 Stem Educators Workshop on Friday, February 27, 2015.
The goal of the workshop is to provide middle and high school teachers, guidance counselors, and home school networks with hands on activities and resources that they can bring back to the classroom. Through this conference, we hope to help motivate students to study STEM subjects and become excited about the prospect of having a career in a STEM field.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Stephanie Stockwell, Assistant Professor, JMU Department of Integrated Science & Technology, will discuss "Authentic Partnerships between K-12 and Higher Education" and our break-out sessions include:
Engineering
Computer Science
Math
Counselor Track
Exhibits, Demonstrations, Networking Opportunities, Free Classroom Resources and More!
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for registered participants.
