Anchor1iCITE™ - Arterial Traffic Data Reporting Solutions

In September 2014, Eberle Design, Inc. (EDI) introduced Eberle Glance at the ITS World Congress in Detroit. The Data Aggregator (DA-100) is now available for shipment on ITS projects requiring access to real-time intersection and arterial data from any traffic cabinet, regardless of central system or lack of a common or complete communications infrastructure. Users can obtain parsed traffic data to meet non-interconnected intersection and arterial performance measurement requirements mandated by TEA-21. The DA-Data Aggregator hardware and on-board communications module easily interfaces with all NEMA, Type 170/2070, ATC and international traffic controllers and cabinets.  These new solutions have been added to a larger EDI and Reno A&E product suite called iCITE™, (Intelligent Cabinet, Intersection and Travel-time Equipment). To see a live product demonstration of this unique Cloud-based intersection and arterial data collection and reporting solution, kindly visit EDI in TRB booth # 318.
Get more data from prefabricated inductive loops

With bicycle detection and differentiation in the early stages of being madated by law in several states, for new and upgraded intersections, Reno A&E now offers a bicycle detection system that combines a special detector with prefabricated inductive loops. The Reno A&E (model C-1101-B and model C-1201-B) loop detectors identify all vehicles, including the ability to differentiate bicycles from all other vehicles, as well as scooters and motorcycles. Both models, (CALTRANS or NEMA type), allow traffic engineering professionals to detect and provide safe passage time for bicycles, without compromising operational efficiency of the intersection. Reno A&E was just awarded a U.S. patent for signature analysis using inductive loops. This unique bicycle differentiation capability, allows signal technicians a means to provide proper extension time within the detector, ensuring safe passage through intersections, and to minimize impact upon traffic signal coordination and green-band progression. Bicycle detection using prefabricated loops maximizes detection accuracy and cost effectiveness, while avoiding specific lighting, weather and maintenance challenges experienced with many types of aboveground detection technologies. To find out more about low lifecycle cost and superior detection accuracy using prefabricated loops, please visit with us at TRB booth #318.

Eberle Design, Inc. (EDI) has played an important role in the development of low-voltage (Direct Current) and low-power (<50 volts AC) Advanced Traffic Cabinet (ATC). The new ATC architecture utlizes low power High-Density (HD) components. Options for reduced voltage, further reduce the risk of accidental shock or electrocution, which complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to prevent inadvertent contact with live or arcing parts.

Bill Russell, EDI President and CEO said, "For more than two years, EDI has been at the forefront of the industry's development of the new ATC cabinet and components. EDI's Chief Technology Officer, Scott Evans, has successfully spearheaded this major investment in bringing the traffic cabinet of the future into the market today. We appreciate the progress we have seen with our ATC solution partners, and we look forward to working closely with agencies wishing to deploy and bring to their infrastructure ATC cabinet solutions. We believe that the ATC cabinet is a significant industry advancement for the future, providing enhanced capability, safety and reliability in a user-friendly environment." To learn more about Eberle's ATC cabinet components, please visit us at TRB booth #318.  Educational webinars about ATC components will be hosted by Eberle Design in the near future. Please watch your email for further announcements.
