Dear Executive Director:

PPAI Certification Program

Dear Executive Director:

PPAI allows your regional Board and committee members to earn CAS/MAS points for their service to the industry (i.e., serving on the regional Board, or a committee). They earn 5 points for service on your Board and 3 points for regional committee service.

PPAI expects the service to be of significance and duration in order to earn CAS/MAS points. A few days working behind the scenes at a regional show as a volunteer, or sitting for a day on a green for a golf tournament is not a significant service although it is a lifesaver for your regional.

Industry Service That Earns CAS/MAS Credit
Service on:

*  PPAI Board, committees and action groups

*  PPB Editorial Advisory Council

*  Regional association Boards and committees

*  Industry ADvocate (1-3 points/max)

Additionally:

*  One MAS-required industry service point can be earned by meeting with
    a legislator and/or organizing/conducting a facility tour for a legislator.

*  By taking action on six legislative e-mails within the year (signup required),
    one industry service point can be earned.

All industry service points are awarded at the end of the completed term of service and/or at the completion of the service activity. PPAI automatically awards PPAI and  PPB  service points; these points are uploaded to transcripts on an annual basis and typically occur in early March. All additional requests can be submitted at any time after completion of  service. Any missing service should be brought to the attention of the  Professional Development department.
