Thrivent Choice Dollars
Disciples of the Way Ministries is now enrolled as a participating organization in Thrivent Choice.
Thrivent Choice is a charitable grant program that allows eligible members to recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes part of its charitable outreach grant funds each year. Disciples Of The Way Ministries has now been listed in the program's searchable online catalog. Please use the full name "Disciples of the Way Ministries" in your search. When eligible Thrivent Financial members direct Choice Dollars� to Disciples of the Way Ministries in a particular month, Thrivent Financial reviews the recommendation and makes an electronic contribution by the 10th of the following month. Those funds may be used to carry out the religious, charitable, or educational purposes of the organization.

Still Time to Donate to Christmas Angel Tree
The Angel Tree Christmas Program will be held on Friday, December 19th. Monetary donations or gift cards (Wal-Mart, Target, or Visa) will be accepted toward this until the end of December. Any extra funds received will be used for other programs and events for the families of our DOW group participants.
If you are unfamiliar with the Angel Tree Christmas Program, this event is for the families of those involved in our ESL, computer, and sewing programs. The children receive gifts, both practical and fun, and the families join us to learn more about God's love and grace through the Christmas story. It is a unique opportunity and a fun time to celebrate together.

Watauga Fall Festival Video
On Saturday, November 1st a large crowd of people from the community of Watauga joined us for a BBQ lunch, fellowship, a petting zoo, three bounce houses, and to learn more about Disciples of the Way Ministries and our mission. There was much interest expressed in our upcoming ESL and Sewing programs which will begin in mid-January as well as the future seminars and instruction on Islam and Christianity. Others were interested in volunteering (we are still in need of more volunteers!). The petting zoo and pony rides were particularly popular with the children, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a great and effective way to bring the community and DOW together to learn about one another. Please continue to keep the ministry of Watauga in your prayers. Contact the Dallas office in you are interested in volunteering.
