October 2014

How does Yoga improve health and fight disease?  Let me count the ways...

Here are just a few of the conditions that have been proven to benefit from a regular Yoga practice:
  • Back Pain
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Heart Disease
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Asthma
  • Ulcers
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Infertility
  • Cancer
  • HIV
  • Auto immune diseases
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes (type II)
Do you know of any one drug or pill that can treat all of the conditions above?

In addition, the only side effects you will feel from Yoga are increased flexibility, endurance, strength, balance, coordination, memory and peace of mind.  In short, it's a pretty safe bet.

Yoga is both a science and an art that will increase your well being, increase longevity and make this journey, however tumultuous, a more joyful one.

This winter, I am thrilled to be launching the "Yoga As Medicine" workshop in conjunction with UCSD Center for Integrative Medicine.  I hope you will join me for this exciting and informative experiential weekend.  Together, we can change the face of medicine!

Read on for more details and for upcoming Yoga for a Happy Back Workshops & Trainings.

IS YOUR BODY TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING?
massage-woman3.jpg
Time to make an appointment!

Often our bodies will send us signals that something is out of balance.  And often we ignore these messages until the pain is too much and we have no choice but to listen.

Take the time to listen.  Pain is just a symptom of something bigger that needs a little attention.

We can help you stay healthy and understand those messages. Our physical therapists are highly trained in manual therapy as well as therapeutic Yoga.  Let us know if we can help you or tell a friend about us.  We are here to help.
