Learn how to teach group classes and work privately with individuals who struggle with back and neck pain.
Yoga for a Happy Back graduates from this past summer in La Jolla, CA

  • Together, we will study the anatomy & physiology of the spine and pelvis in order to deepen your understanding of pathology, injuries and limitations in Yoga.
  • You will learn many new techniques for using Yoga as a healing modality for various spinal conditions.
  • You will examine the Yogic approach to healing using the Kosha model and participate in powerful group exercises, opening up your heart to possible barriers to healing on all levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
  • You will emerge with a deeper understanding of Yoga Therapy, enhanced tools for sessions with private clients and greater experience on how to teach safe and effective specialty group classes with an emphasis on Yoga for back health.

This training's first purpose is to help you develop a deeper home practice that will enable you become a more intuitive practitioner and healer.  It's also our collective goal to begin to understand what Yoga Therapy is as a profession; how to design effective treatment sessions; how to work with different cases, and how to expand our current practices.  We'll explore complementary practices and philosophies and how we can include these in our sessions with clients.  We'll also discuss the business aspects of Yoga.
