CBT for Children and Adolescents:
Basic and Advanced Level Workshops at the Beck Institute
On August 26-28 2013, Beck Institute will offer its first Advanced CBT for Children and Adolescents Specialty Workshop. This workshop is designed for trainees who have mastered the basics of CBT for Children and Adolescents and want to explore the application and individualization of CBT for specific disorders. This workshop is also designed to enhance the clinician's ability to deliver CBT efficiently and effectively to clients who present with more complicated diagnoses such as OCD and other anxiety disorders, trauma responses (PTSD, ASD), and pervasive developmental disorders.

Have you attended our basic level 1 Child and Adolescent Training?

Completion of the basic, Level 1 Children and Adolescents Workshop is highly recommended prior to attending the advanced workshop. Our Level 1 CBT for Children and Adolescents Workshop is held several times throughout the year and covers the fundamentals of cognitive behavior therapy for children and adolescents with depression and anxiety. Participants learn how to develop a conceptualization based on the cognitive model, plan treatment, and deliver CBT interventions to children, adolescents, and their families.

Both workshops focus on therapy with clients between the ages of 7 and 18.
