"Disciples  Of the Cross Making Disciple Makers From All Nations" Matt. 28:19

Dear Christmas Partners in the Gospel to Children

of All Nations,

Blessings and greetings to you and your families as we draw near to the wonderful season of the celebration of the birth of our Savior of all nations, Jesus Christ.

This is the third year for the Christmas Angel Tree of All Nations

program. We are excited to tell you that all of our ministry programs continue to grow and reach out to many refugees and their children making our Christmas Tree fruitful and grow each year. Without your generous gifts these refugee children would have missed out on the mystery of Christ in Christmas.  As beautifully described  in this picture Jesus said, "..let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for such belongs to the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:1

We are making this a tradition and plan for them to come again this year to celebrate and receive gifts, to sing Christmas songs, and to again hear the story about the baby Jesus.  Look for more details below on how you can help make this possible.

O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree, As Thou hast promised, draw the world to Thee.

Please feel free to contact our office if you would like any additional information regarding this program.

"Love Covers"...  "Above all, keep loving one another  earnestly, since  love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8.

On Monday, October 7, 2013, Disciples of the Way (DOW) along with the women of the Sewing Seeds of Faith (SSOF) ministry celebrated and honored Ed Trapp, Jr., with a fish fry luncheon. Ed is a special dear friend and a faithful and generous partner in the Gospel to all. Ed has served the LCMS Board of Director for 12 years. He is humbly known for his passion for children and loves to see many from all nations enter the kingdom of God through Baptism.

The luncheon at Our Redeemer, Dallas, began with fellowship, thank you card signing, pictures and a devotion. Pastor McGuire expressed his words of appreciation for both Ed and the ministry of Disciples of the Way and its partnership with Our Redeemer Lutheran  Church. The celebration ended with the presentation to Ed of a "life quilt" hand made by the volunteers and students of the SSOF ministries under the title "love covers"  "... Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins..". 1 Peter 4:8.    Ed also received a digital photo album containing the highlights of his involvement with DOW, formerly known as POBLO-TX, from its inception in 2006. We thank the Lord of the harvest for all those who have prayed and supported this ministry, we would not be where we are today without y'all.

Paul and Gary -
Be ye fishers of men.
You catch 'em - He'll clean 'em!

We were joined by many friends for this feast of all nations prepared by people from all nations.  Pastor Karim, and two friends (Paul from St. John, Mansfield and Gary from Cross of Christ, De Soto) went fishing a few weeks ago, caught and prepared over 20 pounds of fileted fish that they fried. The SSOF volunteers and their students brought colorful dishes to complement this luncheon fare. "And he said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."  Matthew 4:19
