Three Primary Relationships with God
Have you, like me struggled at time with your relationship with God. Not knowing what your role in the relationship is? As I have struggled with this God has revealed to me three primary relationship roles that I have with Him. 1.) That of a Servant. One who by an act of sacrifice (Deut. 15:16) dedicated my life to the service of God. This relationship is based on obedience. 2.) That of a Friend. Jn. 15:15 says, "I no longer call you servants but rather I call you friend". This relationship is based on intimacy. It's in this relationship that God begins to share his heart with us. 3.) That of a Son. Gal. 4:6,7 says that God has sent his Spirit which cries out Abba Father into our heart and therefore we are sons. This relationship is based on the love of God (I Jn. 3:1). As a slave we find a master who provides for all our needs. As a friend we get the comfort of a friend who sticks closer than a brother. As a son we get a Father who continues to lavish His love on us.

Originally from Louisiana, Kristi came into the DISC Women's Program broken by life challenges and a 20 year addiction to crack cocaine that had stolen every ounce of her dignity and self respect. Lost and without hope, Kristi had no one to turn to but God. With a resolute mind to commit her life to God, Kristi has found the freedom she had been looking for. Today, Kristi walks around with a beautiful smile on her face, full of the joy of the Lord. On Saturday, May 18, Kristi with two other women from DISC will graduate from the Dallas Christian Women Job Corp where she has been enrolled in a mentoring and employment preparation course. Thank you for helping us help Kristi. Because of you, her future is as bright as her smile.

Wet,Wild & Wacky Wednesday's July 17,24,31 & August 7
Well its time for our 3rd Annual "Wet,Wild and Wacky Wednesday's" outreach to youth in our community. We are excited to offer a fun, wet and positive alternative to youth during their summer break. There will be free food, games, prizes, face painting, bible stories and a whole lot more. We are looking for individuals and churches who wnat to volunteer or donate. We are in need of 4 bicyles, 2, skateboards and 50 backpacks with school supplies. Each outreach cost $300.00. Will you partner with us to make a difference in the life of a youth. If you, your church or youth group would like to experience hands on inner city ministry this summer, the Dallas International Street Church is for you. With a growing ministry to the underprivileged in South Dallas we offer several ministry opportunities ranging from homeless outreach, street evangelism, food give always, youth outreaches and more. In addition to the ministry opportunities we look to inspire and create a desire in each missioner to fulfill Gods Great Commission. Our mission season begins May 20 and ends September 3.
