Sussex Food Business Sponsorship OpportunitiesBrighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival

We are seeking sponsors for the Brighton & Hove Foodie Awards 2012, which attracted over 5,000 public votes last year for the city's favourite restaurants, food pubs, cafs and independent food shops. The awards, which are now in their third year, open for votes on 30th March and are managed by Natural PR with support from Juice 107.2 and Latest7.

Sponsorship for the Sussex Food & Drink Awards is close to being finalised too, with top businesses and organisations in the county supporting, but there is still room for one or two more, so if you own a company which will benefit from being associated with the most prestigious and high profile food and drink scheme and event in the county, contact Sandra Murphy on sandra@naturalpr.biz or call 01273 857242. You can find more about these schemes at www.brightonfoodawards.com and www.sussexfoodawards.biz.

Brighton & Hove Food and Drink FestivalImportant changes for Sussex Food & Drink Awards entries!
This year the Sussex Food & Drink Awards 2012/13 will open for nominations and applications from contenders much earlier - at the end of March! Stay tuned to www.sussexfoodawards.biz to enter your favourite Sussex food and drink producers, food shops, butchers, farmers, farmers markets, young chefs and places to eat. And this year, we want to know a bit more about the nominees and why you have put them - or yourself - forward. Judges will review entries over the coming few months and a shortlist of the best contenders will be announced on 7th June at the South of England show launch, with public voting re-opening then for people to vote for their favourites on this list. Arundel renews Fairtrade Town statusBrighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival

Arundel became the first Fairtrade Town in West Sussex in 2004 and is now celebrating renewing this status, following a tough recertification process. The town council had to pass a resolution; Arundel had to demonstrate that Fairtrade products are available in even more local shops and catering outlets; local churches and community groups have shown their support and the annual Arundel Fairtrade & Ethical Fair is now an established event in the town's calendar, including 50 stalls. Important to this success has been the generosity of the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk, who support Arundel's Fairtrade Town status by allowing use of the Castle for this event.
