Albright Technologies News

David

Dear Friend,

On behalf of everyone at Albright Technologies, I wish to extend our best wishes for a healthy and prosperous year ahead and also to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to our customers for their continued support.

In 2011, Albright expanded and was able to give better service to our customers. We added a fourth high speed CNC machining center to assure on time delivery. We also added an Engel 60 ton injection molding machine and a Boy 55 ton silicone molding machine. A new metrology lab was built and we were recertified by TUV for our ISO 13485. We also hired a new project engineer and a quality control technician.

Looking ahead to 2012, Albright will continue to grow and work to inform design professionals of important information regarding silicone by expanding and redesigning our free, downloadable, Silicone Molding Design Manual. In the near future, we will be increasing and continuing to improve our database of silicone materials, MatSilicone.com. Albright will also be working on decreasing lead times for silicone prototype parts and investigating low temperature cure UV silicones and one part silicone adding the inhibitor and catalyst in stream.

In closing, I would like to tell you that Bob Waitt, VP of Business Development will be attending the MD&M West in Anaheim, CA next month, if you plan on attending and would like to meet with Bob to ask him any questions or discuss a potential project, please give us a call at 978-466-5870.

We look forward to working with you in 2012!

Best Wishes,

David Comeau

Congrats to our contest winner,
Patrick McDermott!

We would like to congratulate Patrick McDermott, the winner of $500 to donate to a charity of his choice. Patrick chose Invisible Children, which uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Central Africa. In 2003, three filmmakers (Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey, Laren Poole) traveled to Africa to document the genocide that was occurring in Darfur. Instead, they stumbled upon a little-known war that originated in northern Uganda in 1987, making it Africa's longest-running war. They produced a documentary about the children being abducted and turned into child soldiers by Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). (www.invisiblechildren.com)

Patrick, a Senior Product Designer at CeQur in Marlborough, MA, says he chose Invisible Children because the group had recently visited his daughter's school and the girls were very touched by the stories told by former child soldiers, now adults, who were saved and became spokespersons for the cause. McDermott said when he told his daughters he had won the contest, they immediately agreed it should go to Invisible Children.
