But first: the most important message I have to share with you today is THANK YOU. Your support has helped to enrich the lives of nearly 3,000 children and youth in Pacifica and South San Francisco this year. We hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter, and will share it with your friends, neighbors and family. . We wish you and your loved ones a joyous and peaceful holiday season.

About Us

It Just Takes ONE

It just takes one person to make a positive impact in the life of a child.  But the gifts you give - large and small - add up to make a difference for nearly 3,000 children each year.

The Board of Directors will be kicking off our first annual fundraising campaign in February, 2012.  We hope that you will join us in supporting kids to BE GREAT!

Please be on the lookout for ways to make a donation to the It Just Takes One Campaign in 2012.

We held our annual Winter Fine Arts Night on December 15, featuring children's art displayed in a gallery-like setting, performances, and "artists at work" demonstrating various visual art media.

Sunshine Gardens
The Sunshine Gardens Clubhouse has 70 club members ages 6 to 10 years old with 5 veryBGC Member 4 dedicated teen volunteers who help create a family environment. During the holiday season, the Club hosted a multicultural potluck, and children made and decorated gingerbread houses to take home and share with their families during the winter break.

Paradise Valley

The tiny Paradise Valley Club held a Peace Dinner for children and families the week before Thanksgiving that was attended by nearly 100 people.  Art from a recent "Family Art Contest", in which children and families worked together to create a piece of art, was displayed.
