The saga of the house renovation continues. Cabinets were delivered for the kitchen on Friday. A new wood floor for the kitchen and dining room is almost done (the original kitchen had multiple layers of linoleum that needed to be removed, the old wood floor in the dining room pulled up and its pieces interspersed with new wood flooring throughout the two rooms), wall paper removed and painting is about to start through much of the house. A lot got done in the last week!
And, over the weekend, the town did its annual Holiday Parade and my son marched in it with his Tae Kwon Do dojo and performed with them. It was fund to see them all put on a show for the crowd in Asheville.
And then we began packing (again) for our third move in the last 12 months (our house in PA to a temporary place so my son could finish the school year, from there to an apartment in Asheville, and next to the house).
I am so looking forward to getting settled.
