This week is going to be a busy one so I'll get right to it.
Tomorrow,
November 15th, we'll be having our last
Training Center Open House until next year! We'll also be putting the finishing touches on our newly installed flat plate collector system so feel free to drop by to check out what's new and possibly give us a hand.
Wednesday,
November 16th, we'll be wrapping up our Des Moines
Film Series with the film
Troubled Waters. This film looks at the effects agriculture has on the mighty Mississippi River and further downstream. Come enjoy this free showing with us as well as some free locally grown organic popcorn.
Thursday,
November 17th, we'll be closing out our 2011 workshop series with a
Photovoltaics 101 Workshop. Taught by Dennis Pottratz, this workshop is a great general overview of everything to do with PV. Don't forget that every Prairiewoods workshop includes a free delicious lunch prepared by the nuns! The class is quickly filling up, so sign up
HERE.
Later down the line,
November 30th, we'll be having an
I-Renew Benefit Dinner at
The Red Avocado in Iowa City. A percentage of the money from the food purchased between 5-9pm will go to help fund I-Renew! So make sure and join us for some delicious vegan food!
