About this Week's ArtFull Moment: "Community"
Community drives the holiday season: food drives, clothing drives, toy drives, and fund drives of all kinds clamor for our charitable attention. Although the need help exists all year long, lack during the holiday season somehow seems more acute. For many who now find themselves in difficult circumstances, Community offers more than temporary help. It offers the opportunity to help, too. While donations of money and goods are vital, so are donations of time, work, experience, talent, and spirit. Most people engaged in service to Community agree, you get back way more than you give, and everyone has something to offer. Ecosystems in nature are communities of interdependent species. This meadow in the midst of ponderosa pines on a mountainside near Flagstaff is a bountiful mix of color and texture. Be kind to yourself and all those you meet this week and always. Emmie
