Greetings Friends!
Naperville Smart Meter Awareness is excited to announce the official launch of our organization as a 501(c)6 non-profit.
Our mission remains simple: to educate, engage and empower our families, friends and neighbors to advocate for a fiscally responsible and safe utility meter solution in Naperville. |

This time of year brings much to be thankful for and at NSMA we want to express our gratitude to the thousands of community members that have rallied around us, signed our petitions, put up yards signs, donated time and money, and are continuing to support our mission. 2012 will bring a tremendous change to our community. We hope it will be one with a positive outcome that includes engaging the community in decisions that have a direct impact on our well being. We will continue the positive momentum that was created last February by a small group of concerned citizens which has culminated in 4,200 residents signing a petition for referendum. This referendum will give us a voice on the city's $22M+ expenditure on the highly controversial wireless "smart" meter program. We expect to see the referendum approved for the March 2012 ballot by year end. It has been a pleasure getting to know many of you and we are grateful for your willingness to support fiscal responsibility, the right to choose, the right to protect our personal property and to enjoy a sense of safety and security in our homes, businesses, and our community. May this holiday season bring each of you joy, happiness, and a sense of peace. Happy Holidays! Kim, Tom, Jennifer, Lisa and Amanda Napervile Smart Meter Awareness Board of Directors |
