Facebook_tip 1) LinkedIn tip for sales - use searchable Q&A

Summary:

Details:

LinkedIn has a Questions and Answers section, and it is searchable.  Therefore, you can find people that are asking questions in your area of expertise and answer them to show off your skills or to sell your product (or get a job).

For example, if you sell Long Term Care Insurance, like the audience in the video at http://www.patrickomalley.com/linkedin-sales-training-tip-boston-new-york-insurance.html, you can search for "Long Term Care Insurance" and answer only those questions.  The questioner will see your answer, and hundreds of others may also.  You can also contact the questioner directly if you do a little research, or if you have some mutual connection.

Also, since LinkedIn tells you the name of the questioner, you can use it to do prospecting.  You can tell if they have a need (based on the question), and can use Google (or a LinkedIn connection) to contact them.  Of course, don't try to hard sell them.  You are better off educating them and developing a relationship.

As another example, if you sell CRM software, why not search for CRM questions in LinkedIn and offer answers, or do prospecting.  Very few salespeople use this technique.

If you are looking for a job, you can use this same concept to find people who need your expertise, and you can prove your expertise to the world.

In my advanced seminars and webinars, I teach people how to do this much more quickly and efficiently.

Go Patriots.

Good luck out there.
