Ever dreamed of trekking to the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu – but without the crowds? Join us in Great Outdoors for a free info night on 19 October and you can learn all about Oxfam Ireland’s charity trip. It will bring hikers along a little-known alternative route to this spine-tingling spot, famed for its mysterious stone temples, altars and terraces, spectacular peaks and lush cloud forest.

The trek itself requires a reasonable level of physical fitness and on the night the guys from Oxfam will tell you about what to expect and how to organise fundraising for the trip. Our own Kieran Creevy will be on hand to talk about training and equipment for the trek.
