AWARDS, RECOGNITION, AND PRESENTATIONS

LIQUOR LICENSES FOR APPROVAL
There were no liquor licenses proposed for approval by the City Council at this meeting. |
MAJOR PURCHASES AND CONTRACTS
The following major purchases, contracts and donations were proposed for approval by the City Council.
The City Council:
- Authorized a contract amendment to extend the contract for one (1) year with Heinfeld, Meech & Co., Tucson, Arizona for Professional Auditing Services at an estimated total cost of $43,825.00.
- Approved an Intergovernmental Agreement with Yuma County to provide initial appearances at Municipal Court that occur on weekends and holidays.
- Authorized the execution of a third agreement amendment for Diamond Sports and Entertainment, Inc., dba The Golden Baseball League, and the City of Yuma, for use of the Ray Kroc Baseball Complex.
- Approved an Infrastructure and Services Report for Annexation Area No. A2011-03, identified as the Barco Annexation, located at 2220 S. Pacific Avenue (Avenue 2E).
- Accepted a donation of $2,000.00 from the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. for
training efforts of the Yuma Fire Department.

RESOLUTIONS
The following Resolutions were presented to the City Council for approval.
The Council:
- Authorized execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Arizona for a grant in the amount of $497,302.00, to construct the East Wetlands Shared-Use Pathway.
- Participated in the efforts and endorse the goals of SmartPower and the Department of Arizona Public Services by adopting a resolution promoting the Arizona Solar Challenge of getting 5% of owner occupied homes to utilize solar energy by the year 2015 and earning the designation as an Arizona Solar Community.
- Approved a Resolution pledging General Government Facilities Development Fees for repayment of the 2010 Series B debt as an emergency measure.

The following Ordinances were Adopted at this meeting:
Ordinance O2011-17 Property Acquisition Modification
Authorize the amended acquisition of property for a traffic signal installation located at 8th Street and 14th Avenue
Ordinance O2011-18 Compensation and Benefits for Municipal Judge
Establish compensation and benefits for the office of Municipal Judge from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2015.
Ordinance O2011-19 Amended Lease: Second Amendment to the Yuma Riverfront Development First Phase Land and Improvements Lease
Approve the Second Amendment to the Yuma Riverfront Development First Phase Land and Improvements Lease |
ORDINANCES SCHEDULED FOR INTRODUCTION The following Ordinance were Introduced at this meeting. It is scheduled for Adoption on June 1, 2011: Ordinance O2011-20 Annexation Area No. A2011-03: Barco Authorize annexation of property generally located at 2220 S. Pacific Avenue (Avenue 2E). |
