Greetings!

Whoa oh oh! What a busy Month!!! The Oregonian called to ask questions about our food co-op! The Camas Farmer's Market is 48 hours away! And our Community Pantry is less than 200 dollars and 3 work days away from being finished!!

Meetings are your chance to be apart of making this co-op happen!! We have tons of Volunteer opportunities and we would really love some more board members!!

Meetings are every third Monday of the month from 5-7pm. They are held at the Camas Friends Church, 1004 ne 4th st 98607. Next meeting date is June 20 and July 18th.

Volunteer Opportunities: Garden Master Newsletter editor Potluck Coordinator Table Captains Ad Hoc Committee members (Annual Member-owner meeting)

Our Community Pantry has picked up some momentum! Our hard working volunteers are who made it happen!! Thank you Dorthy, Tom, Trevor, Rick and Jazmyn for all your dedication to seeing this through.

We still have some work ahead of us though. We still need to install our exterior door, path way, interior door and base board. Then we'll be installing our big freezer and fridge or two.

If you have any of these items that you may like to donate check out the website wish list and feel free to e-mail us with your questions.
We will be opening up for membership at the First Camas Farmer's Market so be the #1 fan of the co-op and be the first to be a member-owner!!

We'll be painting two Rain Collection Barrels at the Farmer's Market, Kid friendly! So stop by, add your vision of a beautiful future to our rain barrels and learn a bit on why rain collection will help make our community more food secure!!

Don't forget, we're on Facebook and Twitter.

Don't forget, this is YOUR Co-op! You are a collective owner of the grocery store, we govern it together, this is food security, freedom of choice and democracy at its best! (Other than owning your own farm, which you could do if you're part of a CSA).

Sincerely,

Michelle Week
