SENIOR GAMES 2011 REGISTRATION OPEN

 

FROM CARD GAMES TO RACES, THERE ARE EVENTS FOR ALL ABILITIES



Yuma, Ariz. - The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation department proudly presents the 27th Annual Senior Games, Jan. 18 and run through March 3.  Registration is now open.

 

Those looking for physical competition or a mental challenge will find both in the Yuma Senior Games as hundreds of active seniors participate in over 40 different events. Opportunities to exercise the mind and body range from events including track and field, pinochle, dart throwing, euchre, tennis, dominoes, bocce, bean bag toss, basketball shooting, golf and many others.

 

For complete information on everything related to the Yuma Senior Games, including registration, venues, divisions, contact information and fees, download the Senior Games program online at www.YumaAZ.Gov or stop by the Parks and Recreation customer service desk at City Hall.  All participants need to register a minimum of four (4) days in advance of their event as no on-site registration is taken.

 

Yuma Parks and Recreation office hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. alternate Fridays.
