Miami Dupuytren Symposium
In May 2010, the Dupuytren Foundation sponsored the 2010 International Symposium on Dupuytren's Disease in Miami, Florida. Co-hosted by the Dupuytren Foundation and the Dupuytren Society, this two day sold out event drew participants from fifteen countries. The symposium was organized to bring together research scientists and clinicians from a variety of fields to share their knowledge and to make plans to work together for better treatment options for Dupuytren's disease and related conditions. This productive and successful meeting was was the first such gathering of this scope and magnitude in twenty years, and plans are underway to organize the next.

As a result of the Miami Dupuytren Symposium, genomic centers in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States will for the first time work together to share genetic materials for analysis with the latest genetic analysis tools. Collaborative genetic sampling from Dupuytren sufferers in these and other countries is scheduled to begin in 2011.
Fund Raising to Find a Cure
The Dupuytren Foundation's long term goal is to provide financial support for medical research working towards a cure for Dupuytren's Disease and related conditions. Donations like yours are the lifeblood of this effort. It's not too late to make a tax-deductible contribution for this year. Unlike other charities, the Dupuytren Foundation's administrative budget is zero, which means that 100% of your contribution will be used for Foundation activites.
