Since leaving the corporate world as vice president of JMB Realty, one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the U.S., Warren has focused on entrepreneurial endeavors, repeatedly identifying well-established industries and product categories ready for change and building successful businesses around them.
  

He founded his first business, PaperDirect in 1988 at the age of 25. After building it to $100 million in sales, the business was sold to a Fortune 500 company in 1993. He built upon the PaperDirect success, launching, investing in and advising a portfolio of companies including Successories, Register.com, Genesis Direct, White Cloud Consumer Products, American Registry and Poster.com

In 2003, Warren founded Dale & Thomas Popcorn. By reinventing the stale, ready-to-eat popcorn category, its major brand Popcorn, Indiana quickly became the first national, premium kettle-cooked popcorn brand. Today, Dale & Thomas and Popcorn, Indiana products are sold in over 150,000 locations nationwide.

Warren's entrepreneurial successes have been featured on CNBC, Fox and MSNBC, among others. He has written several articles for Inc. magazine advising entrepreneurs on what they need to know to launch a new company. In 1994, Warren was the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in New Jersey as was named Entrepreneur of the Week by Yahoo Finance in 2008. Warren's first book, "Starting Them Up - An Inside Look at the Life of a Start-Up" was published late in 2010.

Racing for Cancer Research 

On November 6th 2010, Elliot Koolik, Woodfield Country Club resident and Boca Raton realtor at Koolik Group Realty in Boca Raton and triathlete competed in the Florida Ironman in Panama City, Florida. In just one day, athletes set out to race in a competition that is comprised of: 140.6 miles: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run.  The Ironman is arguably the greatest test of physical strength and endurance a triathlete could attempt. But it takes a lot more than just stamina to compete in this race. It takes focus, passion and discipline.

In the process of preparing himself both mentally and physically for this challenge, Koolik wanted to take his focus, discipline and commitment and apply it a cause that he is passionate about. In just four months, Koolik raised $8,592.60 for the Papanicolaou Corps for Cancer Research which will benefit the local Woodfield Cancer Research Unit.
