| One step closer to becoming a Green Community |
With a presentation from Green Needham, the Board of Selectmen took up the question of becoming a Green Community at their November 23rd meeting. See the presentation and the Selectmen's discussion and read the Needham Times article.
When a town makes the energy-reduction commitments necessary to become a Green Community, many benefits follow: decrease in the emission of greenhouse gases, reduction of health care cost for diseases related to air pollution, economic benefits from green jobs and green developments, and improved quality of life among residents. And, it will save the town lots of money. |
