Oops from LandaJob

We goofed. Pure and simple. In our haste (which, it turns out, does indeed make waste) to get this month's newsletter to you, we sent out the unedited version. So, for those of you who (hopefully) still care about such things, we send you this corrected version (with humility and apologies).

Word on the Street

Kinetic Ink Logo"I connected with Landa through social media in response to what sounded like my dream job. I went through the entire process - from portfolio to pay talks - with Landa by my side. After seeing firsthand LandaJob's process and the benefits of working with an agency, I recommend LandaJob as the first step for both parties in the marketing job search. Landa was totally transparent in her communication and I felt that her clients' and my happiness were of the utmost importance to her. Her dedication to her work moved the experience along much faster than would have been possible if we creative marketing types were just floating around out there on our own to manage the process! After all was said and done, I found myself in an ongoing temp position doing what I love for a company that truly respects and appreciates my work. The feeling is mutual and an absolute must for any companies and creatives hoping to succeed in today's market!"

Dear Landa

Another installment of Dear Landa (advice to the joblorn) where questions are sometimes real, sometimes not--you can have fun guessing which are which.

Dear Landa,

I saw, with great interest, your posting of a temporary job opening for an art director. The job looks like it's right up my alley. I am enclosing my resume and samples so that you can see what a great fit I would be for this job. One thing, though...do temporaries go through drug-testing? Not that that's a problem, or anything, just curious.

Signed,

Doobie Gillis

ps: Not to belabor the point but if they do require drug testing could I schedule mine for, say, a Friday morning? Really, anytime before noon on a Friday should work. Not a problem. Really.

Dear Doobie,:

Thank you so much for your letter. Your resume and samples do show that you could do the work for this assignment. And, yes, our client does require a drug screen. And, can you believe it? We have an opening to get your screening done this afternoon! Glad to know that won't be a problem. I'll call to set it up.

Landa

Dear Landa,

My cat just came down with pneumonia. Weird luck, huh? The vet says I should stay with her for the next 5-7 days. I sure want this job, though, so I could schedule something next week.

Your pal,

Doobie
