As you read this, our first move should be about halfway completed. Our things will have been loaded on the moving van and we are on the way to executing our plan for moving to Asheville in June. It's an exciting day as our plan unfolds to stay in the area so our son can complete his school year, close on the sale of our house and then head south.

So excuse me for offering a few "articles from the archives" this week. I'll be back to my usual new offerings next week.

Putting Effort into Your Job Search

In an article I wrote for "No B.S. Job Search Advice Ezine" a few months ago called, "The 3 Keys to Becoming a Champion," I wrote about three

important factors that went into being a champion in sports and in life and applied that into job hunting.

Personally, it was not a store I have heard of but the more I read about it, the more I could see how I had erred in my earlier article.

As a recruiter, I have been puzzled by a phenomenon that has become more profound as the recession goes on. It is something that my colleagues in corporate have told me frustrates them, too. I didn't understand why it occurred until recently when at a networking group someone explained to me the rationale.

Congratulations to those of you who took me up on my offer of receiving a copy of "The Single Best Question You Should Ask on Any Interview" if you purchase a copy of "The Ultimate Guide to Job Interview Answers" from another author.

I receive a lot of pleasure receiving notes from people thanking me making available good information like this and received quite a few emails from people who made the purchase.

Job hunting doesn't have to be difficult or painful. Most of the time, the problem is lack of information or incorrect assumptions that people make that make it far more difficult than it needs to be.

JobFox was started by the team that started HotJobs many years ago. It has two interesting and useful features to it-- a matching engine that tries to match, not only to skills but to corporate culture and a social networking component to help you network to recruiters and hiring managers. Any feature a site offers like that is incredibly powerful for aiding your networking efforts.

Upload a resume to JobFox and make it a part of your continuous improvement efforts.
