Hello! We're finally having some warm weather and sunshine here in CT - what a blessing!
Today's newsletter explores the idea that "good" advice can be wrong advice, if it doesn't fit you.
One challenge we face when we're moving forward to create something vitally important to us, is that we receive all kinds of feedback from lots of different folks. Some are wishing to be helpful, some are jealous and want us to stay put, and others believe they know best. But all this advice can be the WRONG if it doesn't take into account who you really are, what you care about deeply, and what you know to be true about yourself. This is especially true with marketing advice. You hire and pay for it because you feel you need support to get your message out, and to build community, clients and customers. But if the marketing advice doesn't feel right and isn't in alignment with you, then it's not going to work! You won't succeed at attracting like-minded, ground-sharing community. You'll attract something that your marketing expert THINKS you need, but in fact, you don't want. Here's a new post on "Why "Good" Marketing Can Lead You Astray. Let me know your thoughts!
