Tenth
Anniversary
This year is our 10th anniversary in Nashville, Indiana.
Jeepers Dollhouse Miniatures is celebrating by doing something a
little different...we're moving! We are closing our doors in
Nashville on October 31st and reopening them in Morgantown, Indiana
on November 6th at 10 am. |
From our
Home in the Hills
Jeepers originally moved to Nashville in order to expose more
people to the wonderful hobby of miniatures. With thousands of
tourists passing through the town, it presented a great opportunity
to reach many people who had never been involved in miniatures as
well as a chance to re-inspire those who may have been sidetracked
by other interests. During the past 10 years, we believe we have
been successful in that endeavor; however, we now feel that it is
time to transitition to a more service-oriented
environment. |
...just
"up the road a piece"
Our bright new shop in
Morgantown has a great space
for classes, workshops and events. Among classes and events in
2011, we are planning an artist's studio and potting shed (both of
which have been in development stage for quite some time) and a
Kid's Kamp. Since one of our new neighbors is a fabulous quilt
shop, we are also bringing back a workshop we did several years
ago. What else, but a miniature quilt shop! Of course, we will
continue to offer our basic tape wiring class every other month
(alternating weekdays and Saturdays). For those new to the hobby,
we will have basic classes in flooring, wallpapering, construction
techniques, and alternative finishes. We will have a "room in a
lamp" workshop as well as a primitive painting in miniature class
by a local artisan and another ever-popular punchneedle class. The
list is growing and we are very excited.
We will also begin taking on more dollhouse building, repairs
and remodeling throughout the year rather than just during the
winter months.
With tons of parking right outside our new front door,
just minutes from Nashville our customers will have the best of
both worlds! No more driving around in circles to find a parking
space. Ample street parking is steps from our front door!
But Brown County is within a short driving distance for those who
crave the colorful hills.
Finally, we will probably revise our shop hours. We haven't
made any firm decisions yet, but we are hoping to have at least one
night a week that we will be open until 8 pm.

Upcoming
newsletters will keep you abreast of our progress. Of course, you
can watch our website for announcements and developments as
well.
Once we have "settled in" we will host an grand opening to
greet our old (and new) family of friends.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Ufnowski
