Dear Friends of the
Trust,
Is
there light at the end of the tunnel for the Jones Log Barn
reconstruction project?
After
a journey of nine years, the answer is yes! A visit to site of the
future home of the Jones Log Barn in Chesterbrook will show that
the foundation and stormwater work of Phase I has been completed
and the work is underway to complete Phase II, the final stage of
of the rebuilding project.
There is only one thing standing between the Trust and the
finish line on completing the Jones Log Barn project and that is .
. . additional funding. Approximately $200K is needed to
complete the project and we are looking to the community for
assistance. When completed the Jones Log Barn will join the
historic DuPortail House and the Federal Barn as a historic focal
point . . . Can you help us achieve our
goal?
How
can you show your support for the Jones Log Barn and historic
preservation? There are several ways . . . a gift to the Capital
Campaign, purchase of Golden Valley Farm coffee, tickets to the 6th
Annual Historic House Tour or our fabulous fifties In the
Mood event or by attending the Fall Lecture Series. (For
further information, see below)
Historic
resources are part of what makes our community so special . .
. please show your support of historic preservation by supporting
the Trust.
